Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower.
Sweet.
Caring.
Charitable.
Quiet.
Fake.
Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants—namely, the boy from the treehouse who taught her how to curse in sign language.
Who taught her how to laugh.
To live.
To love.
Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero.
Gorgeous.
Athletic.
Rugged.
Popular.
Liar.
This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna.
But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore.
When life throws a curveball at All Saints’ golden boy, he’s forced to realize not all knights are heroes.
Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy

TITLE- Broken Knight
AUTHOR- L.J. Shen
FORMAT- Ebook

If you follow my reviews, then you'd be aware of my love for childhood sweethearts with an emotional twist and after reading this particular book's blurb, I was getting the same vibe.
Unfortunately, this book was not what I expected so I'm a little disheartened. Before I move on, let's explore the plot...
luna and Knight have always been together.
They have been each others 'Ride or Die' for as long as they could remember. But when their feelings deepen, complications arise.
The story is deep. Its just not teenage love but also covers sensitive topics like alcohol addiction, depression, anxiety and self doubt.
Both Luna and Knight are carrying their fair share of demons. They have love for each other but what they don't know is how to love each other.
For the longest time, I wished I could unthink you. Unlove you. Unbreathe you. I think I finally can.”
The thing about this book is that it will want you to pull your hair apart as there comes a time when the characters act extremely immature. It feels like its the motive of their lives to make each other miserable.
The book is full of life, death, heartache and heartbreak.
To wrap up the review, I'd simply say that reading this book was a beautiful torture. I wanted to stop reading it but at the same time, I could not stop myself from reading it.

The story revolves around childhood best friends, Luna Rexroth (a selective mute) and Knight Cole (a selective rebel). If you read L.J. Shen, then you would have come across the same last names in the author's 'Sinners Of Saints' series.

Recommended to everyone who is capable of tolerating immature teen characters and can handle sensitive content. All in all, I have come to the conclusion that all love stories are not 'sweet honey', some are 'sour lemons' and this was one of them. The most amazing thing is that it has a happy ending and that's exactly what we all want right?
