REVIEW: The Partnership by Charlotte Penn Clark

They're just partners….

Kyle’s got a problem. He needs to pass college composition to graduate but he can’t get words on a page.  And it’s landed him in a pilot class called Extra Credit for students in trouble -- when all he wants is to be left alone.

Lani’s got a problem too. She doesn't like making waves and it gets her stuck in that Extra Credit class. When she ends up partnered with Kyle things start getting complicated. Kyle is angry, restless, impatient; Lani is calm, introverted, bookish. But when these opposites attract how will they manage to stay “just partners”?

Hey, pretty readers! *Waves excitedly* I am back with a review on this latest newly released YA college romance book called "The Partnership" by "Charlotte Penn Clark". This book is being gossiped about a lot and is also gaining some audience, so I decided to read and review it for my fellow readers and help them pick up their next read!!

"The Partnership" introduces us to "Kyle" and "Lani". Kyle is everything a young college hottie is with all that bad boy aura and 'stay away from me I'm not good for you' vibe. On the other hand, "Lani" is our good girl but not so good. She likes to stay in the shadow, never takes credits for her work and always choose wrong friends.

Kyle and Lani both end up in a pilot class called extra credits. They both are instantly attracted to each other but ignore it. And then they end up being partners and help each other overcome their weaknesses. Lani helps Kyle to write his paper and Kyle helps Lani with her confidence. Their interaction was interesting and fun. They were really easy around each except all that sexual tension. Their relationship bloomed with time from being friends to being friends with benefits or rather partners with benefits and then finally they accepted their feelings and became a couple.

"It's not about you but it's all about you. It's just so fucking complicated"

TBH, I loved Kyle and the plot but I had some problems with Lani's character. I was just unable to connect with her. Kyle sort of sacrificed his dream to live with Lani but Lani did nothing. She was kind of selfish like that.

The plot is quite simple but entertaining. The story is a perfect blend of humor, sweetness and hotness. I have no complaints about author's writing style. It was perfectly written. Nevertheless, it was a fair read, an enjoyable one. If you are a fan of quick, fun college romance, I totally recommend this book to you!!

Kyle- 4.5 Stars
Lani- 2 Stars
Plot- 4 Stars
Storytelling- 4 Stars
Turns and Twists- No twist and turns
Humor- 3.5 Stars
Romance- 4 Stars
Story ending- 3 Stars

Five Things 'FIVE FEET APART' Taught Us

'Five Feet Apart' is an American Romantic Drama,  inspired by a real-life couple Dalton and Katie Prager, who both suffered from  cystic fibrosis . As you all know that I'm not a movie person, I'd choose books anytime over movies but as I am going through 'Reader's Slump' so I decided to watch Netflix and guess what? I found this treasure. This movie impacted me greatly so I decided to share all my takings with you all. Let's start! 1. Live Big because life don't give us enough chances. 2. Take risks , you never know which moment is your last.  3. Love! Don't be scared of it. Loving won't kill you but not doing it will surely kill a part of you. 4. Take chances! We can die today, we can die tomorrow but we can also make our life worth living. 5. Breathe! Take a deep breath and enjoy your today. We are all on borrowed time. Instead of focusing on making your tomorrow good, make your today even better.

REVIEW: Broken Knight by L.J. Shen

Not all love stories are written the same way. Ours had torn chapters, missing paragraphs, and a bittersweet ending. Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower. Sweet. Caring. Charitable. Quiet. Fake. Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants—namely, the boy from the treehouse who taught her how to curse in sign language. Who taught her how to laugh. To live. To love. Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero. Gorgeous. Athletic. Rugged. Popular. Liar. This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna. But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore. When life throws a curveball at All Saints’ golden boy, he’s forced to realize not all knights are heroes. Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy TITLE- Broken Knight AUTHOR- L.J. Shen FORMAT- E
